AIA Poster Awards

About this program

The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) recognizes outstanding poster presentations at its Annual Meeting through Best Poster, First Runner-Up, and student poster awards. Awards honor effective presentations of complex graphic or quantitative archaeological research, with winners selected by a three-member panel appointed by the Program Committee. Applicants must present a poster during the designated Annual Meeting session and provide a display within the assigned 4-by-8-foot space, with one presenter in attendance. Undergraduate and graduate student posters may compete in the general categories, while additional awards recognize posters designed entirely by undergraduate or graduate students.
