AKC Canine Health Foundation Fall 2027 Research Grants

About this program

The AKC Canine Health Foundation funds high-impact research that prevents, treats, and cures canine disease across all areas of canine health. The Fall 2027 cycle offers Acorn grants of up to $30,000 and Oak grants exceeding $30,000, including up to 15% indirect costs, through a competitive pre-proposal and invited full-proposal process. Applicants must submit scientifically sound projects aligned with the Foundation’s mission, follow all application and humane animal-use requirements, and meet CHF eligibility criteria. Early Career Investigators must hold a DVM/VMD and/or PhD, be within six years of completing training, and provide institutional and mentor support letters; Rising Researchers are ineligible for this cycle.
