About this program

Alnylam funds Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS/IIT/IST) via the SteepRock platform to support external research that advances scientific and medical understanding in its priority areas, including transthyretin-mediated (TTR) amyloidosis, acute hepatic porphyria (AHP), and primary hyperoxaluria (PH). Applicants must be physicians, pharmacists, or researchers qualified by training and experience (with current clinical licenses for patient-involving research), must not be Alnylam employees or otherwise excluded/debarred from healthcare programs, must author the study protocol and assume all regulatory obligations, and should not seek support for routine or primarily institutional-benefit projects. Submissions are unsolicited, Alnylam is not obliged to accept requests, approvals are subject to contract execution, and the portal is not for grants, donations, or charitable contributions.
