AMATYC Foundation Grants

About this program

The Foundation of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) offers year‑round grants to support projects, research, and faculty activities that teach or support mathematics in the first two years of college, with preference given to AMATYC members; applicants must state the amount requested (no fixed maximum) and proposals are funded as resources permit. Proposals must be submitted via the Foundation Chair form and include a title; a 2–3 sentence summary with requested amount; PI qualifications and vitae; need statement; goals/objectives; methods/program design; evaluation plan; timeline; columnar budget; and other funding/sustainability information, with proposal length scaled to the requested amount (e.g., ≤$1,000: 2–3 pages; >$1,000–$2,500: more detailed). Applications are evaluated for alignment with AMATYC’s mission and strategic plan, perceived value, feasibility, and available funding, and approved projects will have payout parameters and reporting/dissemination requirements set by the AMATYC Foundation Board.
