American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards of up to $10,000 in direct costs for one-year, non-renewable projects investigating the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy. Funded studies must have a primary allergy endpoint or substantial relevance to the AAOA, and results must be presented at an AAOA scientific meeting with a manuscript submitted to the Foundation’s official journal. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, and are submitted through the AAOA Foundation portal by the June 1 or December 1 grant-cycle deadlines.
