American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to advance knowledge of otolaryngic allergy, including its pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year and may support research supplies, equipment, technical personnel, statistical services, travel, and publication costs; indirect costs and principal investigator salary are excluded. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or applicants for membership. Proposals must include a 400-word abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, with funded investigators required to present results at an AAOA meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
