American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to advance understanding of otolaryngic allergy through studies of disease pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year, with approximately two to eight projects funded annually; indirect costs and principal investigator salary are not allowed. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, and the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Proposals must include an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, and funded investigators must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
