American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards of up to $10,000 in direct costs for one-year, nonrenewable projects investigating the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy, with two to eight awards expected. Proposed research must have a primary allergy endpoint or substantial importance to the AAOA. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or listed key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget and justification, with submission cycles ending June 1 and December 1; awardees must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the AAOA’s official journal.
