About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to advance research on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy and related conditions. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year and may support multiple projects, with funds available for research supplies, equipment, personnel, statistical services, travel, and publication costs. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Applications must include an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, and funded investigators must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
