American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to support studies on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy, with two to eight projects receiving up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year. Proposed research must have a primary allergy endpoint or substantial relevance to the AAOA and may fund supplies, equipment, statistical services, technical personnel, and related research expenses, but not indirect costs or principal investigator salary. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply; the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or apply for membership before receiving funds. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, detailed budget, and budget justification, with submissions due June 1 or December 1 and results presented at an AAOA scientific meeting.
