American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards of up to $10,000 in direct costs for one-year, non-renewable projects addressing the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy. Proposed studies must have a primary allergy endpoint or substantial importance to the AAOA, with approximately two to eight awards available each year. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, and the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or have applied for membership. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, detailed budget and justification, and must be submitted by June 1 or December 1; awardees must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a related manuscript to the Foundation’s official journal.
