About this program

The American Psychoanalytic Foundation (APF) provides grants to support creative, innovative programs that promote understanding of psychoanalysis and disseminate psychoanalytic ideas and services to mental health professionals and the public. Funding generally supports U.S.-based projects with community outreach, national or broadly applicable impact, and potential for co-funding or use as a model for other organizations. APsA members and non-members may apply individually or on behalf of an institute, center, or society, but proposals should present a new initiative rather than a routine organizational activity. Applications are accepted year-round and must include project details, an itemized budget and funding plan, organizational information, and evidence of leadership and reporting capacity.
