American Psychoanalytic Foundation Grants

About this program

The American Psychoanalytic Foundation (APF) provides rolling grants to sponsor creative programs that promote understanding and dissemination of psychoanalysis to clinicians and the public, supporting new initiatives as seed or matched funding with the applicant specifying the requested amount. Proposals should present new, transportable outreach programs with a national focus (generally US‑based) and may include fundraising/co‑funding elements. Both APsA members and non‑members may apply, as individuals or on behalf of institutes, centers, or societies, and applications are accepted year‑round. Applicants must submit a Word document with contact and project details, schedule, collaborators, budget and other funding sources, organizational information and IRS 501(c)(3) letter if applicable, sent electronically to APF Executive Director Tom Newman.
