American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation Graduate Student Scholarship

About this program

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) provides Graduate Student Scholarships to support full-time students and qualifying undergraduate seniors in U.S. communication sciences and disorders (CSD) graduate programs, awarding up to 15 general scholarships of $5,000 and up to 11 endowed $5,000 scholarships for specified categories (e.g., international, minority, NSSLHA, Shriberg, Singh). Applicants must be accepted to or enrolled full-time in a U.S. CSD graduate program (clinical audiology or SLP programs must be CAA-accredited or in candidacy; research doctorates are exempt) and must not have received a prior ASHFoundation scholarship. Applications require an online Student Information Form, a 2-page letter of application, transcript, letter of acceptance or statement of good standing, a ≤1,500-word essay addressing the 2026 prompt, and three confidential letters of recommendation that meet the program’s author-specific requirements. Awards are designated for educational expenses (tuition, books, living costs), and winners are announced and recognized in November.
