About this program
The Animal Behavior Society offers the Amy R. Samuels Cetacean Behavior and Conservation Award to fund graduate student field research on cetacean behavior and conservation, with priority for original work addressing endangered populations or critically important problems in cetacean behavioral biology. A maximum of two discretionary awards of up to $2,000 USD each will be made and funds must be used for field (not laboratory) research. Eligible applicants are graduate students conducting cetacean studies in natural environments; proposals may be declined if not deemed worthy. Apply via the ABS online Grant Submission System following the General Grant Submission Guidelines by December 15 at 11:59 PM PST.
