ANA-Persyst IDEAS Professional Development Award for Early Career Epilepsy Researchers

The American Neurological Association, supported by Persyst Development Corporation, awards the ANA‑Persyst IDEAS Professional Development Award to an early‑career academic neurologist or neuroscientist specializing in epilepsy to support targeted professional development. The award provides $11,500 for activities such as mentorship/travel (visiting up to four U.S. epilepsy research institutions over 12–18 months, one week each), enrollment in certificate or master’s programs, or leadership training (e.g., AAMC), and includes gratis ANA Annual Meeting registration, up to $2,000 toward travel/lodging for the ANA Annual Meeting, and a commemorative plaque. Eligible applicants are early‑career individuals (postdoctoral fellow, instructor, or assistant professor) actively working in epilepsy who are ANA members in good standing and agree to attend the ANA Annual Meeting; application materials required are the nominee’s CV, a nomination statement (≤300 words), a proposed plan for award use (≤300 words), and a letter of recommendation from the Chair or Division Director committing support.
