APNA Research Grants

About this program

The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) Research Grants program awards $1,000–$10,000 for studies generating knowledge in psychiatric-mental health nursing or for evidence-based practice and quality-improvement projects. Priority is given to proposals addressing shared decision-making, mental health disparities and inclusion, integrated care, innovative interventions, or psychiatric nursing workforce issues. Applicants must be current APNA members, licensed registered nurses focused on psychiatric-mental health, and early-career investigators without prior major intramural or extramural funding; approved master’s theses and doctoral or DNP projects are eligible. Complete applications, including a proposal, budget justification, IRB documentation, and CV or biosketch, are due May 20.
