About this program
Apple’s Scholars in AIML PhD fellowship provides multi‑year funding, internship placements, and mentorship from Apple researchers to support graduate and postgraduate computer science and engineering researchers pursuing cutting‑edge machine learning work. Recipients are chosen for innovative research, demonstrated leadership and collaboration, and commitment to advancing their field across areas such as ML theory, privacy‑preserving ML, computer vision, speech and NLP, and AI for health and ethics. The program is currently open only to invited institutions; eligible applicants are PhD students at those institutions, and inquiries can be sent to aiml_scholars@apple.com.
