The AAE Foundation offers a process for changing the Principal Investigator (PI) on an awarded/active grant when the original PI is no longer able to fulfill their duties. This application ensures continuity of research by allowing a qualified replacement within the same institution to take over the project. Eligible applicants are the original PIs of active grants, and the proposed PI must possess similar qualifications and be affiliated with the same institution. The application requires detailed information about the project, justification for the change, and a revised timeline, with submissions reviewed by the AAE's Research and Scientific Affairs Committee.
