Archival Innovator Award

About this program

Offered by the Society of American Archivists and funded by the SAA Foundation, the Archival Innovator Award recognizes an archivist, group, repository, or organization whose recent work has had outstanding impact on the profession or its communities. Nominees should have undertaken work within the past three years that demonstrates creativity or innovation, the ability to think beyond institutional norms, translation of ideas into practical solutions, extraordinary community outreach impact, or a commitment to advancing professional knowledge. The recipient receives a certificate and complimentary registration to the SAA Annual Meeting (one representative if an organization); nominations are reviewed by the Contributions to the Archives Profession Subcommittee and must be submitted via the nomination form by February 28 each year.
