About this program

The Arthritis Foundation, through its Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials Network (OACTN), has awarded nearly $1 million to three clinical OA research projects, with each team receiving up to $300,000 over three years to accelerate translational and clinical studies aimed at biomarkers, drug repurposing, and rehabilitation approaches to prevent or treat osteoarthritis. Awards support interdisciplinary clinical research that advances trial readiness and patient-centered outcomes, and recipients were selected via a competitive, rigorous peer-review process. Eligible applicants are clinical or translational investigators affiliated with academic or medical institutions who submit scientifically meritorious OA-focused proposals to the OACTN, with selection based on scientific impact and potential to improve OA trials.
