About this program
The Arthur D. Howard Research Award, administered by the Geological Society of America's Quaternary Geology and Geomorphology Division, recognizes and supports an outstanding M.S. student by funding an exemplary research proposal submitted to the GSA Student Research Grant program. The award is intended to advance original research in Quaternary geology and geomorphology. Eligible applicants are M.S. students whose proposals are submitted to the GSA Student Research Grant program through the Quaternary Geology and Geomorphology Division and are selected competitively on the basis of proposal merit.
