Arthur E. Weyman Young Investigator’s Award Competition

About this program

The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), supported by the ASE Foundation and a grant from the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), sponsors investigator award competitions at its annual Scientific Sessions that provide cash prizes, complimentary meeting registration, and presentation opportunities including international invited talks. Notable awards are the Arthur E. Weyman Young Investigator’s Award (winner $1,500; other finalists $1,000) and the Brian Haluska Sonographer Research Award (winner $500; four finalists receive complimentary registration). The Weyman award is open to investigators under age 40 and no more than five years from the end of their training and requires submission of an original abstract plus a brief manuscript (≤1,500 words); abstracts not selected as finalists remain eligible for general presentation. The Haluska award is restricted to sonographer primary investigators who hold ARDMS, CCI, or equivalent international echocardiography credentials, excludes applicants with medical doctorates (MD/DO or equivalent), and requires indication of interest at abstract submission.
