ASBMB William C. Rose Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education

About this program

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) awards the William C. Rose Award to an individual demonstrating exceptional contributions to undergraduate and/or graduate/professional teaching in biochemistry and molecular biology; the award carries $3,000 plus travel to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting. Recognition is based on demonstrated commitment to student learning, mentorship, pedagogical engagement and teaching innovation, and may be supported by teaching examples, leadership in education, pedagogical publications, scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), or educational research. Both nominator and nominee must be ASBMB members, and nominees should show a commitment to mentoring and advancing the careers of individuals from all backgrounds. Current members of the ASBMB Education and Professional Development Committee may not be nominated or submit nominations/support letters; nomination materials are listed as due June 2.
