ASEEES Summer Dissertation Writing Grant Program

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers a limited number of Summer Dissertation Writing Grants of up to $6,000 ($2,000 per month) to support two to three months of dissertation writing in any discipline related to Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies. Funds may not be used for tuition or institutional fees, and applications are due March 20. Applicants must be PhD students of any citizenship enrolled at a U.S. university, have achieved candidacy (ABD status), be current ASEEES student members, and demonstrate relevant language proficiency. Applicants must focus on writing during the grant period and may not have received an ASEEES Dissertation Research Grant or certain comparable major dissertation fellowships for the same project.
