ASME Sia Nemat-Nasser Early Career Award

About this program

ASME’s Sia Nemat‑Nasser Early Career Award, established by the Materials Division and now a Society award, recognizes early career research excellence in experimental, computational, and theoretical mechanics and materials and carries a $3,000 prize, a bronze medal, a certificate, and a $750 travel allowance. Eligible nominees are young investigators within 10 years of their Ph.D., with special emphasis placed on candidates from under‑represented groups, and the award is administered by ASME’s Materials Division. Nominations must be submitted by February 1; inquiries and submissions may be directed to persaudl@asme.org.
