Audrey S. Bingel Fellowship for Female Scientists

About this program

The American Society of Pharmacognosy Foundation and the American Society of Pharmacognosy offer the Audrey S. Bingel Fellowship, providing up to $25,000 to help female scientists transition career tracks or strengthen success in pharmacognosy and related natural-products research. Funding may support research time, formal training, sabbaticals or internships, seed projects, course buyouts, childcare bridging, or other activities addressing gender-specific barriers to career advancement. Applicants must be ASP members in good standing for at least three years (trainees with shorter membership may be considered with justification) and submit a clear 2–5 page narrative, budget, CV, and publication list explaining the need, plan, and anticipated outcomes. Applications are reviewed twice yearly (May 15 and November 15 deadlines; expedited review can be requested), and awardees must submit a brief impact report after the 1–2 year award period.
