About this program

Australian Wildlife Society offers the annual Group Youth Conservation Award—a $500 AUD prize plus a trophy and certificate—to recognize and reward small groups of young people (ages 13–18) who contribute to the conservation of Australian wildlife. The award supports young volunteers, raises awareness of wildlife conservation, and targets small groups that do not meet the criteria for the Society’s Community Conservation, Serventy Conservation, or Wildlife Rehabilitation Awards. Nominations are submitted via an online form or downloadable PDF and are received annually by 31 December; winners are notified by email and announced and presented at the Society’s AGM/Luncheon.
