About this program
The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) awards the annual AWM Dissertation Prize to recognize up to three outstanding PhD dissertations in the mathematical sciences; the prize was established by the AWM Executive Committee in January 2016. Eligible nominees are female mathematical scientists who defended their PhD dissertation within the 24 months preceding the award deliberations. Nominations are required per AWM procedure, and inquiries may be directed to the AWM Administrative Specialist at 401-455-4042 or awm@awm-math.org.
