Biobank Sharing Program for Alzheimer's Disease Biomarker Research

About this program

The Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, through its Diagnostics Accelerator and pharmaceutical partners, offers qualified researchers access to well-characterized serum, plasma, whole blood, and CSF specimens from Alzheimer’s disease clinical trials and cohorts to develop and validate diagnostic biomarkers. The program supports proof-of-principle studies backed by prior human data and validation studies advancing previously identified biomarkers toward clinical use. Applicants must use established analytical methods and provide specific aims, biological and statistical justification, sample-use plans, and power analyses, while addressing regulatory approval, scalability, commercialization, infrastructure compatibility, and intellectual property. Proposals seeking both funding and samples should apply through the Diagnostics Accelerator Peripheral Biomarker Program; sample access is subject to review and final approval by the contributing organizations.
