Biomedical Research Collaboration Awards

The Hartwell Foundation invites current or former Hartwell Investigators who have completed at least two years of Foundation funding to apply for Biomedical Research Collaboration Awards to support early‑stage, innovative, applied biomedical research enabled by special or unusual collaborations. Eligibility is limited to previously funded Hartwell Investigators; all collaborating researchers must be U.S. citizens, hold full‑time appointments at the sponsoring institution, and be eligible to serve as principal investigators. Awards fund direct research costs only for up to three years (all expenses justified on a zero‑base), prioritize projects with a clear collaborative advantage and potential benefit to U.S. children, and the Foundation expects to fund no more than two awards annually—interested investigators should contact the Foundation President for further information.
