Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists (Tri-State regional awards for postdoctoral researchers)

About this program

The Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists, administered by the New York Academy of Sciences with support from the Blavatnik Family Foundation, honor outstanding postdoctoral researchers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut across Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences; laureates receive $30,000 and two finalists per category receive $10,000 each in unrestricted funds. Eligible nominees are postdoctoral scientists affiliated with an invited research university, independent research institution, academic medical center, or government laboratory in NY, NJ, or CT, and winners are chosen annually by a distinguished regional jury. Nominations for 2026 are closed and the next cycle reopens Fall 2026; inquiries may be directed to blavatnikregionalawards@nyas.org.
