BNSF Railway Foundation Grants

About this program

BNSF Railway Foundation provides grants to 501(c)(3) organizations, divisions of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments that operate in or serve communities near BNSF rail lines, supporting health and human services, youth programs, civic services, education, and tribal initiatives. Priority is given to organizations with established relationships with BNSF, projects with significant BNSF employee participation, those located close to a BNSF main line or where BNSF is the primary local employer, initiatives related to the railroad industry, or activities that closely align with the Foundation’s mission. Applications are accepted on an ongoing nationwide basis for communities near BNSF lines, no award ceiling is specified, and applicants should consult the Foundation website for guidelines and the online application or contact BNSFFoundation@bnsf.com for inquiries.
