About this program

Community Foundation of Noble County offers the Peter R. Bottomley Scholarship Fund, a one-time $1,000 award for one East Noble High School senior pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree in instrumental music education or performance. Scholarship funds are for tuition, books, and academic fees and are paid directly to the accredited institution upon completion of acceptance paperwork. Eligible applicants must have completed four years in the East Noble High School band, have a minimum 3.00 GPA, be entering undergraduate study, and submit two written recommendations (one from the band director) plus an essay responding to “Why are you pursuing a music degree and how music will help change people’s lives.” Apply via the Community Foundation of Noble County scholarship portal (GrantInterface/CFNC), complete the eligibility quiz and matched applications, and submit all materials by Jan. 14, 2027 at 11:00 PM.
