About this program
The Mind Science Foundation offers the BrainStorm Neuroscience Pitch Competition™ to fund pilot studies in the neuroscience of consciousness and help early-career researchers generate preliminary data for future grants. Finalists receive guaranteed $30,000 awards, with an additional $10,000 Audience Choice award determined by public online voting. Applicants must be early-career researchers partnered with a senior principal investigator, and the competition is open internationally. Teams must communicate their research to a general audience through a pitch video, demonstrating both scientific merit and effective science communication.
