Bridge Funding for Fellows

About this program

The California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP) is offering Bridge Funding, Predoctoral, and Postdoctoral Fellowships to support trainees conducting breast cancer research in California and to address gaps created by recent federal reprioritizations. Bridge awards provide $25,000 direct costs for up to one year for fellows whose federal funding was terminated; Predoctoral fellowships offer up to $60,000 stipend plus partial tuition and institutional allowance annually for up to two years; Postdoctoral fellowships offer up to $70,000 stipend/salary plus institutional allowance annually for up to two years. Applicants must be enrolled at a California institution in a doctoral program (terminal master’s allowed for Bridge) or hold a postdoctoral fellow position as defined by their institution, and propose projects focused on CBCRP priority areas such as environmental contributors, health disparities, or population-level prevention.
