Brinson Prize Fellowship Program

About this program

The Brinson Foundation, in collaboration with the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), awards Brinson Prize Fellowships to support bold, early-career observational cosmologists with up to three years of competitive salary and independent postdoctoral research funding for projects that leverage ground- or space-based observations (theoretical or instrumental components allowed). Fellows select an affiliation from a list of participating U.S. host institutions and receive customized professional development and science-communication training. Eligible applicants are early-career researchers (postdoctoral/near-postdoc level) proposing observationally connected cosmology research with clear links to existing or upcoming facilities and must meet the Foundation’s fellowship and host-institution guidelines.
