Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship

About this program

The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation offers the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, a $30,000 award paid as $10,000 per year for up to three years to support periodontists pursuing academic careers in teaching and research. Applicants must be U.S.-based faculty (full-time instructor, assistant, or associate level, or part-time), affiliated with a degree-granting institution for ten years or less, and demonstrate a career focus on periodontology education and research; the award is not intended to replace institutional support and annual payments require evidence of continued teaching. Applications are due May 1, selection is merit-based (not financial need), and the top three candidates will be interviewed at the AAP Annual Meeting by a committee appointed by the AAP Foundation President.
