Building Healthy Futures Fund

About this program

Omaha Community Foundation’s Building Healthy Futures Fund awards grants (minimum $50,000) to expand school-age youth access to quality healthcare—including primary, vision, dental, hearing, and mental health services—to support academic achievement and long-term well-being. Funding prioritizes innovative, system-level efforts that fill health service gaps, promote equitable access, and demonstrate purposeful collaboration with schools and community partners. Eligible applicants are public tax‑exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or applicants working with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and must serve Omaha Public Schools students and/or their families; applications are submitted via the online portal annually July 1–August 1, with awards (including potential multi‑year grants) announced by October 31 and adherence to the fund’s nondiscrimination policy required.
