CALNOC Research Fund (American Nurses Foundation)

About this program

The American Nurses Foundation (ANF), in partnership with the Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes (CALNOC), established the CALNOC Research Fund—a $2.5 million endowed fund—to support health services research in ambulatory care that documents nursing’s contribution to patient safety, quality, and outcomes. ANF, with counsel from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), provides grants to seed innovative, nurse‑led or nurse‑centered studies that build a cohesive evidence base on ambulatory nursing structures and processes. Eligible applicants include nurse scientists, clinician investigators, or interdisciplinary teams proposing ambulatory care–focused research that assesses the unique contributions of nursing structures, processes, or interventions to patient, family, or population outcomes. Proposals should generate new evidence or extend existing findings toward scalable ambulatory nursing practice; interested researchers should join ANF’s mailing list for announcements of specific grant cycles and application details.
