About this program

The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation’s Camille Dreyfus Teacher‑Scholar Awards Program awards an unrestricted $100,000 research grant to support the research and teaching careers of outstanding early‑career faculty in the chemical sciences (including chemistry, biochemistry, materials chemistry, and chemical engineering). Awards are based on demonstrated independent scholarly excellence and commitment to education and require an institutional nomination. Eligible nominees are full‑time, tenure‑track faculty at U.S. institutions that grant bachelor’s or higher degrees in the chemical sciences and are within the first six years of their independent academic appointment (extensions for official tenure‑clock stops may be considered). Institutions may submit only one nomination per year; nomination packages (including a 2‑page institutional letter, 5‑page research summary, 2‑page teaching statement, a 4‑page CV per guidelines, and three external letters of support sent directly) must meet the program deadline.
