Capacity-Building Mini-Grant Opportunity

About this program

Colorado Springs Health Foundation offers an ongoing Capacity-Building Mini-Grant of up to $5,000 to fund discrete projects that help organizations acquire or strengthen organizational skills, strategies, systems, or structures (commonly via outside consultants) for a one-year period. Eligible uses include strategic/operational/succession/fund development/communications planning, program evaluation, one-time training, merger/restructuring efforts, process improvement, and one-time technology needs; funds may not be used for ongoing operating expenses or capital projects. Applicants must benefit El Paso or Teller County and align with the Foundation’s funding focus; organizations with a current general operating, program, or capital grant may apply but may receive no more than two capacity-building awards per calendar year, with strong preference given to past or current CSHF grantees. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the GrantInterface portal (decisions typically within one month), and applicants are required to speak with CSHF staff before applying.
