Catalyst to Independence Award

About this program

Additional Ventures offers the Catalyst to Independence Award to support late-stage mentored postdoctoral researchers transitioning to independent tenure-track positions in single ventricle heart disease and related fields. The award provides up to $1 million over five years for research, personnel, career development, coaching, and professional programming. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent earned more than one year before the deadline; currently serve in a non-independent postdoctoral or instructor role; and be affiliated with a U.S. domestic nonprofit academic or research institution. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, commit at least 75% effort to the project, and may not concurrently hold another transition award.
