Charles County Tree Planting

About this program

The Chesapeake Bay Trust offers the Charles County Tree Planting grant to support projects aimed at increasing tree cover in urban and rural areas of Charles County, enhancing forest habitat, water quality, and urban cooling. Funding up to $20,000 is available for site preparation, planting materials, labor, educational signage, community engagement, and two-year maintenance costs. Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, businesses, community groups, and public agencies, with projects on private, community-owned, or nonprofit-owned properties qualifying for funding. Projects on federal or state land are not eligible.
