Children’s Heart Foundation Independent Grant Awards

About this program

The Children’s Heart Foundation offers Independent Grant Awards to support research that directly advances the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects across the lifespan. Priority is given to clinical, translational, and population research involving structural CHD, including fetal diagnosis, procedures, genetics, lifelong care, outcomes, technology, quality improvement, and health disparities. Applicants may be physicians or researchers from other disciplines, but principal investigators must hold an independent faculty appointment at an accredited research institution; postdoctoral fellows are ineligible to serve as PI. Each PI may submit only one application per grant cycle, and up to 10% of the annual budget may support investigator salaries.
