About this program

Adirondack Community Foundation administers the Christopher Emmet Hallowell Fund to provide financial assistance for incidental and unexpected expenses to Adirondack families caring for severely ill children and young adults, helping support continuous care. Grants typically range from $2,000–$3,500 and are awarded on a rolling basis to eligible families residing in Clinton, Essex, or Franklin Counties, NY; applications are accepted via the Foundation’s Online Grants Manager or by paper application (mail or email). Applicants must meet the fund’s eligibility requirements as detailed in the fund materials; recipients are required to submit a six-month report on use and impact of funds, and individuals receiving $600 or more must complete an IRS Form W-9.
