Classical Promise Grant (Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute)

Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute offers the Classical Promise Grant to support creation or sustainment of Latin/Classical Studies programs or events for elementary and middle-school students, providing a one-time program consultation and free access to its lesson/activity library; awards are 'Parva' ($50–$200) for one‑time events and 'Maxima' (up to $500, with the possibility of additional funds after documented success) for longer programs. Eligible applicants include high‑school and college students, teachers, and homeschool instructors, with middle‑school students eligible only when applying with a sponsoring teacher or parent; individuals may receive only one grant per academic year. Applications are accepted anytime and reviewed twice yearly (October 30 and March 30 deadlines), no retroactive funding is available, and recipients must complete a post‑program phone interview and submit photos for Ascanius’s annual publication Iter Ascanii.
