About this program
The Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation supports clinical research advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness, with particular interest in cognitive and behavioral sciences related to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Eligible applicants are charitable organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) status that limit administrative expenses to no more than 7% of awarded funds. Applicants must submit a letter of intent between November 1 and March 1; only those invited may submit a full application by May 31.
