Conference Grants - up to £400

About this program

Classical Association offers Conference Grants of up to £400 to UK-based conference organisers who are CA members to provide bursaries for self-funded PhD students (who must also be CA members) presenting papers at conferences on any aspect of Classics held in the UK. Applications must be submitted at least three months before the event for one of the Association’s deadlines (1 March or 1 December); retrospective applications are not accepted. Applications must confirm bursary recipients (self-funded PhD students at UK universities who are CA members and will present), include a Call for Papers and/or programme if available, and describe how event success will be monitored and how CA support will be acknowledged; the CA normally does not fund air travel. Complete the Conference Grant Application Form and email it to canews@classicalassociation.org, and submit a brief post-conference report with a breakdown of expenditure within three months (receipts not required).
