Conference Scholarships for Students

About this program

Delta Dental Foundation is offering conference scholarships to send dental students from select student groups in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana to approved conferences on public health dentistry and care for people with disabilities, and also funds DDF grantees to present DDF‑funded projects at conferences nationwide. Student applications must be submitted by the group’s faculty adviser (students may not apply individually), list each attending student and year, confirm membership in the applicable student group, and include a detailed budget; awardees must submit photos, videos, and a written reflection within three months. Awards (up to $10,000) cover conference registration and travel only (economy airfare or federal mileage rate and standard hotel); nonrefundable unused tickets will not be reimbursed, and certain events (e.g., NOHC) require attendance at a DDF‑hosted dinner. Community partner funding requires that the session be accepted at an approved conference, focus on DDF‑funded work, and covers registration and reasonable travel for up to two people while agreeing to promote the session with DDF.
